The Simple Way Funeral allows for a service to be held at the crematorium Chapel, or for a small additional cost a Church, to celebrate the life of the deceased. The Simple Way Funeral fills the gap between direct cremation and a traditional, more expensive, bespoke funeral service. The Middleton and Wood Simple Way Funeral As per the requirements of our membership of the National Association of Funeral Directors, the Simple Way Funeral consists of: The full professional services of Middleton and Wood funeral directors Attending to all necessary funeral arrangements and our personal attention at all times Provision of the necessary staff Provision of a suitable, simple coffin for either a burial or cremation funeral service Transfer of the deceased from the place of death to our funeral home (includes first 20 running miles, additional miles will incur an additional cost) Care of the deceased at the funeral home for up to fourteen days prior to the funeral taking place (additional days will incur an additional cost) Provision of a hearse direct from our funeral home to the crematorium or cemetery (includes first 20 running miles, additional miles will incur an additional cost) When burial is specified (where locally available) this will attract an additional charge outside of our control. Please inform the funeral director at the time of booking and we can advise the family of the actual cost) The Simple Way Funeral specifically DOES NOT include any of the following services Embalming Viewing or use of the Chapel of Rest Provision of a following limousine Any fees or disbursements payable on the clients behalf. (ie. crematorium fees, Doctors fees, Church or celebrants fees, burial or grave diggers fees, memorial fees) The Simple Way Funeral can be tailored to include such things as hire of a limousine for the Cortege to depart from the family home.
